Additional Information

Bike hire

We can offer bargain or premium bike hire on all our tours. Please contact us for further details on our hire partners who you will hire directly with.

For the most part, all of our accommodation is 3-star. However, where no 3-star accommodation is available, 2-star or similar accommodation will be arranged. All of our hotels have been used previously and have been researched meticulously, to ensure they provide a cyclist-friendly environment, from secure bike storage to your evening dinner and breakfast.

Single Supplement payment

This is a fee added to the trip price via our booking form if you're participating in a tour on your own rather than as part of a pair. These prices are also detailed on each of the tour pages.

Travel insurance is compulsory for all our tours. The cover should be suitable for the type of holiday you are taking. Please make sure your policy number and insurer details are communicated to us at least 4 weeks before you are due to arrive.

We can offer advice on which airlines and destination airports are best for each specific tour. Please contact us via the email on our contacts page for further clarification.

Airport / Local Transfers

Local transfers are included in all of our tours. For airport transfers where the airport is not listed within the itinerary (under pick-up and drop-off points), an extra charge will be incurred. Please email us for details.

Bike Information

Gearing for mountain riding

Strong riders: semi-compact 52x36 with 11/25 or 11/28 Riders that like to spin: 50x34 11/28 or 11/32.

We can provide GPS routes for all of our tours.

Who can ride our tours?

Our tours are designed for endurance cycling. You should be able to ride up to 4 consecutive days, up to at least 100kms / 60miles per day with hills (although this advice is generic). We can offer help and advice on what sort of climbing you should be doing for specific routes. If you are unsure of what you might be undertaking don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via our contact page where we will ask you a few questions to ascertain your ability to participate.

Group disparity

We will always have group splits when riding mountains. You may find that you will be happy to ride on your own on the climbs with your own thoughts, you may find a group that you are comfortable to ride in. You will never be on your own or left behind. Our ride leaders will make sure that whether you’re at the front or the back you will know where you are heading. The group always will regroup at the summit of the climb and vehicle back-up will be on hand if needed.
